Popsugar Reading Challenge 2019

So this year I decided to give a go the Popsugar Reading Challenge (which can be found here).

Now, I’ve seen this challenge in the past and failed miserably to stick to the prompts. I’m hoping to complete all 50 prompts and really pushing myself to not go wandering in my reading choices again this year – but I suppose we shall see how far I actually manage to keep this up!

For the prompt regarding my favourite past challenge prompt, I’m choosing “The first book in a series you haven’t read before” from 2017s list. I have waaaayyyyy too many books still to read on my Kindle, so I have so many books that should fit this criteria. Currently I’m hoping to read An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir for this.

As I’m writing this post in February, 1 month in, I’m throwing in an update as to where I am with it so far (and I’m actually quite surprised with how much I’ve read so far! Although potentially worrying statement considering the nature of this blog 😂)

A book featuring an extinct or imaginary creature
The Mortal World | Genevieve Cogman

A book with a title that contains “salty,” “sweet,” “bitter,” or “spicy”
Bitter Orange | Clare Fuller

A book with ‘love” in the title
Conditional Love | Cathy Bramley

A book inspired by mythology, legend, or folklore
The Winter of the Witch | Katherine Arden

A book with an item of clothing or accessory on the cover
The Wicked King | Holly Black

A book told from multiple character POVs
The Blade Itself | Joe Abercrombie

A book you think should be turned into a movie
Before They Are Hanged | Joe Abercrombie

Are you completing a reading challenge this year? Do you have any ideas for prompts? Leave a message in the comments!

About Me

Books and food enthusiast. I discovered a love for reading in my late teens, so you’ll see me catching up on older series quite often. I also love to travel around the UK, where I live, and picking up some crafty hobbies – I hope to share snippets of this amongst all the book content. Other interests include gaming, podcasts, drinking too much tea, and trying to personify autumn.
