What was your favourite read this month?
September dawning on us means I am fully in the swing of ‘give me all the autumn vibes’, but also means its time for another wrap-up!

So over August, I participated in the NEWTs readathon set up by Book Roast. I’ve had an absolute blast, and one hell of a month of reading! So many good books were read – I’ve been on a complete roll, and I’m also all caught up on Godsgrave at last and ready for Darkdawn’s imminent release! Godsgrave was also probably my favourite read, and I’ve had such a book hangover from it.
My Reads
Nevernight | Jay Kristoff | ★★★★★
A re-read, I read this a few years ago, and I still absolutely adore it
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone | J K Rowling | ★★★★★
Also a reread, I listened to it by Stephen Fry this time and it was wonderful
Girls With Sharp Sticks | Suzanne Young | ★★★★
Not my usual thing, and I think going in completely blind helped, but a very engrossing read
Obsidio | Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff | ★★★★★
Absolutely brilliant end to the series – I’m so sad it’s over though!
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban | J K Rowling | ★★★★★
This is actually the first time I’ve read this, it is my favourite film though, and it did not disappoint
Listen to the Wind | Susanne Dunlap | ★★★★
Wonderful NetGalley ARC – I’m looking forward to book two!
Godsgrave | Jay Kristoff | ★★★★★
I’ve held off on this due to hearing about an awful cliffhanger. I think this was better than Nevernight, and I NEED Darkdawn right now!
Northanger Abbey | Jane Austen | ★★★★★
Re-read as a buddy read – I enjoyed this more the second time around
Spellslinger | Sebastien de Castell | ★★★★★
This book was chosen by Gintare (Book Roast) and it was such a fun read!
The Steel Prince | V E Schwab | ★★★★★
Set in one of my favourite worlds, this was my first proper foray into Graphic Novels – I NEED MORE!
A Patchwork Family: Part 1 | Cathy Bramley | ★★★★★
The first part of a new book by Cathy Bramley – I enjoyed seeing some old characters!
