REVIEW | Crooked Kingdom – Leigh Bardugo

“We meet fear. We greet the unexpected visitor and listen to what he has to tell us. When fear arrives, something is about to happen.

I am still not OK… this book is even more of a whirlwind than Six of Crows, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to think about it without immediately getting a bit weepy – WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! I want to undo that ending, I NEED to – but I also get it, something was needed. A sunshine and rainbows ending wouldn’t suit this series, and I would have hated it a little for it… and the end was also so beautifully wrapped up and brought together. I just don’t want to leave this band of misfits.

I adore the entire crew, there isn’t a weak character amongst them, but I think Kaz if my favourite character – just for all the scheming, how did Leigh keep track?! I know with Kaz there will be a twist, but oh my, they just didn’t stop!

They all have their own strengths and weaknesses – and their stories and traits are so diverse, it’s wonderful!

I’m now about to dive into King of Scars, and I cannot wait!

About Me

Books and food enthusiast. I discovered a love for reading in my late teens, so you’ll see me catching up on older series quite often. I also love to travel around the UK, where I live, and picking up some crafty hobbies – I hope to share snippets of this amongst all the book content. Other interests include gaming, podcasts, drinking too much tea, and trying to personify autumn.
