REVIEW | The Simple Wild – K.A. Tucker

“And just like that, I sense a circle closing. Back to the beginning, and near to the end.”

I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I don’t read a lot of this genre, but I loved this book! It was a slower-paced novel for the most part – I’m all for slow-burn romance, but there wasn’t even much romance – but the location really enraptured me, it was so dreamy in it descriptions of Alaska. I totally need to visit sometime!

Calla, I didn’t love so much. But her growth over the book was lovely, and I adored Jonah – even if he’s not joining the ranks of book boyfriends for me. Personally, the best bit was Calla discovering some of her heritage and coming to know her father. Although the whole ending of the book was so good! The pace picked up a bit there.

All in all, I’m really looking forward to picking up the next one!

About Me

Books and food enthusiast. I discovered a love for reading in my late teens, so you’ll see me catching up on older series quite often. I also love to travel around the UK, where I live, and picking up some crafty hobbies – I hope to share snippets of this amongst all the book content. Other interests include gaming, podcasts, drinking too much tea, and trying to personify autumn.
