Hello, hello!

Gosh, I have been so bad at replying to tags and awards! *facepalm* I’ve just been struggling a lot lately with my state of mind to be honest, and haven’t really been here… But I’m here now! And with going into autumn and it being one of my favourite times of year, I should be a-ok now!

The fabulous Kim @ Bookish Kimberly tagged me in the Liebster Award a long time ago – thank you so so much! It’s very much appreciated!

Make sure to check out her wonderful blog!

My Questions From Kim

What are your Top 3 book category/genre? Fantasy, Historical Ficiton, YA

Who is your favorite fictional love team? Ooh this is a tough one. Move onto the next question if you haven’t read A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas as spoiler!! Last chance… but maybe Feyre and Rhys – I love how strong their bond is.

What is your all-time favorite fiction book? Hands down, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

Which quote (from a book) you like best? Oh my there are so many! Lets go with one from The Name of the Wind: “Words are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest hearts.

Which book character would you like to meet and why? Ok, I’m going with a character from The Name of the Wind – again… haha, I did say it was a favourite! I’d love to meet Kvothe – he is absolutely facinating, and I need to hear his story. Also, how he looks out for Auri is the sweetest.

Are there any book series that you REALLY want to read and finish this year? What are those? I should really finish the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas, I’m on the last two. BUT, Darkdawn releases in September by Jay Kristoff and I CANNOT wait!

Which book character reminds you of a living person in your life and why? Ove from A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman reminds me a little of one of my uncles. He is also a bit of a curmudgeon, but will do anything for you when you need him.

What is your favorite nonfiction book? I really enjoyed reading Ayoade on Ayoade by Richard Ayoade – I love the humor and quirkyness he injects into it.

Which book is your least favorite among the mainstream/popular books? I’m going to have to go with the shadowhunter’s Mortal Instruments series. I just didn’t finish the series and stopped after two books…

If you had to swap places with any book character, who would you choose? Why? Hmm… Hermione Granger. I love how her mind works, and shes a witch, and gets to go to Hogwarts. Tell me something better?

Which book would you like to recommend the most and why? Right now, Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff. I am OBSESSED! The format is so unique and just really works for the story. I also find AIDAN facinating. Just please please read it! Its a YA Sci-Fi.

About Me

Books and food enthusiast. I discovered a love for reading in my late teens, so you’ll see me catching up on older series quite often. I also love to travel around the UK, where I live, and picking up some crafty hobbies – I hope to share snippets of this amongst all the book content. Other interests include gaming, podcasts, drinking too much tea, and trying to personify autumn.
